…Back-pack boy sat directly opposite me on the longer sofa and extended his hand towards me indicating that I should come sit next to him. I looked at him and signed, Weirdo!
This exaggerated pretense is the reason why people replace sex with “that thing” or any slang that placate their ears when communicating. (P.s! If we ever run into each other, and happen to discuss anything sexual, it will be in your best interest not to replace sec with ‘that thing or did it’.) To every African parent, their kids are virgins and to most kids, their parents are learners.(don’t know what’s up)
I will keep making more posts about places to visit in Kiev as a tourist. If you ever need a tour guide while in Kiev, hit me up @ email@example.com and If I am in Kiev, then we can hangout.
Personally, I have no problem with prostitutes. It is not the easiest of decisions. Like they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. As a matter of fact, I feel it should be legalized so that victims of abuse and rape among them can be protected. Another added advantage is that they can be taxed…
Whether you are 21 years old or above the age-drinking limit set up by your government, drinking more than you should can often put you in trouble. It can leave you for death with a wrecking hangover. The older you get, the worse the hangover. Here are tips to cure hangover…
In law school, during the mandatory dinner organized for us, we were expected to eat in a cultured manner. Food that was meant to be enjoyed became a burden. I saw friends and colleagues struggle with dinning etiquettes. Fork and knife mandate became a Beethoven rehearsal. I am very good with fork and knife (I love it) but how does that make me more cultured than someone who dines with a spoon? In Nigeria, if I speak English with Igbo influence, my people say I have Igbo tongue, but when a foreigner speaks with native influence, we call it accent. C’mon fellow Nigerians, that is ridiculous. A lady went for a conference in Greece and after delivering her lectures on International Law was ushered to a wine tasting event to pass the time. Of course she could not decipher one wine from the other. All she knew was the wine was sweet. The foreigners near her gave her that unwanted stare – “uncultured person”.
Originally from China, she has lived in more than 30 countries and has seen more than an average person in the world. How we met was very random, as I sat at the hotel kitchen whipping up some breakfast before heading out to sightsee that Saturday morning. She walked in with a book in her left hand and a cup of espresso in her right hand. Looked at my pan of eggs and…
We already know that the world does not extend to women the many small courtesies that it extends to men. However, it isn’t perfect for the male gender too. …this is the era of the rising sun and I’m not talking about Biafra lol. I mean the time, when parents are open to information and knowledge. They now know you are not too young to be influential or Rich. Child stars are on the rise in all walks of life and you can’t be pleasured watching your child making sand castles from the dirt of Lagos soil. How beautiful it would look to see your child on the honors roll with the world looking like a speck beneath her feet….
This is a new century where women are already breaking the glass ceiling. We must teach the girl child that she too can lead and make decisions for herself and more importantly give them the opportunity to do so.
…I will quote Senator Barack Obama (as he then was in 2006) in a speech he gave in the university of Nairobi titled “An Honest Government: A Hopeful Nation” – You would love to check it out. I quote him “In the end, if the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists – to protect them and to promote their common welfare – all else is lost. And this is why the struggle…
Gender discrimination could largely be blamed on gender roles. Historically, both culture and religion has defined roles for men and women. It must be understood that gender role is totally cultural expectant. It is what sociality expects of each gender….
Although I dislike traveling because I’m too lazy to pack and unpack my bags, I’ll gladly make this sacrifice for the sake of Japan. 😀🌚
