| A Poem To My Mother |

To my first love, my precious gem,

You always knew what to do in the mayhem,

The first person I ran to when I am in shit

And the last one I saw before I’d lay down to sleep.

**************

I will never understand how your love could be so unconditional,

Love so unreal, it feels mythical.

You never gave up on me, even when I gave up on myself,

Instead you prayed for me and wished me well.

**************

When the world ignored my dreams, and left me all alone

You drew me close and told me child, fear not the unknown

In a strange land filled with elves

I walked tall covered in your love, shell

**************

I will never understand how your love could be so unconditional,

Even when I struggle to be rational.

You taught me about my strength,

Held me tight and said, your feeble force will yield at length

**************

I will never understand how your love could be so unconditional,

You’re the reason I’m here today,

and with all gratitude I’d like to say,

“I love you mom, forever the same.

  1. Ohh my mom… sees all, says little. Sacrifices all, complains little. Gives all, expects little. All she wants is her child to be happy – that’s what I’ve learnt from all these years. Thanks dear for sharing this beautiful phrases to our mom ‘cos they all deserve to know and hear these everyday😍😍
