I wish I had seen this movie as a kid…Nah!!! Actually I don’t really wish that😅.
Honestly wouldn’t have appreciated it as much as I did the first time I watched it.
Rex Harrisson who plays the role of Henry Higgins, an absolute sexist, bets that he can turn Audrey Hepburn’s character, cockney Eliza Doolittle into a lady.🙄🙄🙄 The conception of rhetorics and its relationship to identity are thoroughly explored.
You’ll laugh, and enjoy every conversation in almost every scene. If you are a lover of classic musicals, then this is the one for you.
quotes from My Fair Lady;
Prof. Henry Higgins: But I’m used to hear say, ‘Good morning’ everyday. Her joys, her woes, her highs, her lows. A second nature to me now. Like breathing out and breathing in. I’m very grateful she’s a woman! And so easy to forget. Rather like a habit one can always break! And yet, I’ve grown accustomed to the trace of something in the air. Accustomed to her… face.😩😩😩
Eliza Doolittle: Well, you have my voice on your gramophone. When you feel lonely without me you can turn it on. It has no feelings to hurt.😍😍😍
Prof. Henry Higgins: …I can’t turn your soul on.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
